Black Ants
Do you have problems with black ants climbing up the outside of your house into
the attic? Or marching across your pavers into you house? Take another
look because you probably do have this problem. The first thing that I did
was to cut back any plants or trees that were touching the house, especially the
branches of the queen palms. Next, I bought an insecticide at Home Depot
called Ortho-Klor Termite and Carpenter Ant Killer. It comes in a
concentrate, its expensive ($20 for a 16 ounce bottle), but it works great.
Using it in a sprayer (mixed per the instructions), it kills the ants on contact
and drops a film on the surface that keeps them from coming back for weeks. (Submitted
