Flood Insurance, Reduce or Eliminate Your Flood Insurance Premiums, and get a Refund.
DO THIS YOURSELF... FOR FREE!
Many homeowners are paying for flood insurance that they do not need because they were incorrectly told that it was required when they purchased or refinanced their homes. This is a big problem in South Florida and it can amount to hundreds of dollars each year.

Water storage system to be built in south Broward. Think of them as bathtubs, 2 miles long and 1.5 miles wide, the equivalent of more than 10 Pro Player stadiums, including parking. The
tubs, the first to be built in southern Broward County, are part of the 36-year, $7.8 billion Everglades restoration that calls for the creation
of water storage systems, treatment of polluted water and rerouting of canals to prevent seepage of fresh water out to sea. One will go
in Weston, between U.S. 27 and the new Isles of Weston developments, north of the C-11 Canal, which flows along Griffin Road. It will
cover 1,490 acres. The other will go in Miramar, between U.S. 27 and the Sunset Lakes development; north of the C-9 Canal, which
flows along the Broward and Miami-Dade line. It will cover 1,650 acres. The earthen levee that holds the water in Miramar will be 4 feet
high and store water only up to 2 feet deep. In Weston, the levee will be 8 feet high with water 4 feet deep. While neighboring
communities won't get a lake view, they also won't get new neighbors to the west.

Hi Everyone,
After 4 requests, we finally got a copy of the minutes from the HOA
meeting that took place on April 3rd. Please see attachment.
Connie Small just informed me that the No Solicitation sign was
supposed to be put on a pole & moved last Friday - so it will
be done. Also, she is still checking into
several of the issues that were brought up at this meeting. Does
not have answers for us yet.
As I get further info.... I'll pass it along to all of you.
Thanks for you attention.

RE: Front Gate Access
On April 4 & 9 two
incidents occurred at the front gate involving tailgating. In
both cases, a car tried to follow one of our neighbors into the
gate. The neighbors slowed down to allow the gates to close behind
them. In both cases, the drivers of the second cars pulled in
behind them, jumped out of their cars and were verbally
threatening & abusive. The drivers of the second cars reside
at Grand Isle -- same family. It is my understanding they
filed a complaint with the police department stating some of our
residents were blocking & obstructing traffic at the front gate.
It has now been brought to my attention that obstruction of
traffic can result in a fine. For your personal safety,
please call the police for assistance at the gate -- they
are concerned someone might get hurt trying to handle the situation
alone.
Following is an e-mail from Officer
Chris Saunders. You may direct your comments & questions to
him regarding this matter:
Please be aware that the best time to reach
him is Mon - Thur. He is off duty Fri, Sat, Sun.
Thank you all for your diligence & efforts
in trying to make our community a safer place to live. Your
personal safety & the safety of your family is of the utmost
importance to all. I will forward any further info. I receive
on this matter.
Thanks for your attention. Please
spread the word to your neighbors.

Subject: RE: Tailgating
Joanne,
I
do not want anybody to stop their car and block the gate! Call the
Police if you think the vehicle is suspicious. This problem is getting
so out of hand that I have instructed my Officers to cite anybody that
impedes the flow of traffic. Please send this to all of your members.
